The brief

EVAC received an urgent call out for overflowing drains in the kitchen, accompanied by a noticeable smell. The issue appeared to be caused by a blockage affecting the use of the sink and dishwasher. An investigation was initiated to determine the cause and carry out necessary works to resolve this plumbing issue.

How we delivered

  • Removed blocked filter from grease arrestor
  • Returned to site for final clean-up
  • Engaged EPA-approved transporter to pump out the grease trap
  • Removed approx. 500L of liquid waste
  • Serviced internal filter
  • Reported waste removal to SA Water for trade waste compliance
The outcome
  • Blocked kitchen drain was cleared and overflow stopped
  • Grease trap was fully pumped out (approx. 500L removed)
  • Site was cleaned and returned to normal condition
