The brief

EVAC was engaged to investigate and identify the source of an odour issue at a restaurant. This odour issue was causing damage to the reputation of the business and staff.

The investigation focused on the plumbing to the grease traps, drainage lines, and ventilation.

How we delivered
  • Conducted a site inspection and investigation of the reported odour.
  • Identified and located two grease traps in the area, confirming one was for the restaurant and the other for a neighbouring property.
  • Performed CCTV drain inspection from the kitchen, confirming proper connections and functionality.
  • Examined the vent system to ensure the grease trap was correctly connected.
  • Identified potential odour sources, an old grease trap and a poorly ventilated storage area.
